Farm properly in Destiny 2: Prepare for raids - the best tips
Farming properly in Destiny 2 and preparing for raids sounds easier than it actually is. The best tips for those who can't let go after the main game can be found here.
How to properly collect 2 rewards in Destiny
Finally, the time has come: After countless hours, battalions of enemies and considerable amounts of loot, the real game begins. Even after the campaign, Destiny 2 still offers a lot of content, but the raids are only for the crème de la crème of the players. Find out how to properly prepare for it here. If you haven't finished the Maingame yet, be wary of spoilers.
- Exchange your tokens: the factions in Destiny 2 are much more than just plot devices to advance the story - you also benefit from their generous rewards. When you have reached the last level, the time has come to redeem all tokens found. Every time you fill a leader's reputation bar, you will receive an engram that will bring you legendary prizes.
- Complete milestones: If you get lost or have nothing better to do, you should focus on your milestones. Of course, you can complete the main quest without completing side quests - you should save them for the post-game anyway, as this will result in better rewards. To view them, all you have to do is open the map and press L2. This can make sense for some special quests.
- Public events: what's better to tap tokens, mica, gear or (with a little luck) even legendary and exotic engrams? You can even unlock heroic public events to take the extra loot with you. The events are easy to find and it is usually not a problem to join in. Heroic events are also one of the fastest ways to increase your power level. Some may turn out to be quite difficult on their own, so you might want to get support.
- Don't redeem the equipment: Special equipment is different from the engrams you get as a reward for most quests. Collected engrams always have a constant power level, which is determined as soon as they drop. Equipment rewards, on the other hand, are only scaled when they are picked up. That means you shouldn't pick them up right away - wait a bit and you'll get Gear later that fits your current level much better. You will receive particularly powerful equipment via flashpoints, milestone degrees and after the Nightfall mission.
How to farm properly in Destiny 2
Rewards are only half of the ways to collect mica and materials. True to the prehistoric society, we can only recommend you: hunt and collect!
- Cayde-6 and the treasures: Buy massive treasure maps at Cayde! This gives you the opportunity to see nearby treasures similar to hunters in Destiny 1. The maps are related to individual planets, however, so you shouldn't spend the mica until you plan to stay in the area for a while. The Exodus Black area is recommended. There are quite a few chests there, most of which contain either a token or even a legendary engram. However, you should also prepare for the case that the boxes are empty.
- Hunters and gatherers: farm everything! Take everything you can get your hands on - you will thank you later. With twilight fragments, crystals, alkane dust, spores, data grids, phase glass needles and columns, you can increase your reputation among the leaders of the 14 factions. Keep that in mind as you race across the different planets and don't miss out on farm spots.
How to properly prepare for raids in Destiny 2
The best equipment is in your luggage, but that is not enough to successfully complete a raid. You need help, because alone you should have some problems. You should also improve your personal skills, such as aiming and reaction time - button smashing won't get you far.
- Loot and level: Your level should be as high as possible before you start a raid. After the "Red Battle" story, you should be close to level 20. But that's not all: with weapons and better equipment, you have to increase your power to 260 or more. So your chances are definitely better.
- Clash of Clans: Join a clan and enjoy the sweet benefits of the group. A clan has weekly goals that, if achieved, bring legendary engrams to all members of the community. However, the level of the items depends on your personal, not the levels of your clan brothers and sisters. You will also receive extra bonuses when your clan rises a level. So you can dust off more mica and higher drop chances for engrams. Being in a team is simply a pleasure.
- Daily, planetary challenges: If you are currently on a different planet, you should definitely take a look at the regional challenges - they change daily and earn bonuses for each task completed. Sometimes you have to clean up a lost sector, kill a certain number of enemy species every now and then, or pick 20 enemies with a stolen skewer. If the game wants something from you - do it.
- Patrols: Make sure you've completed Caydes Quest on the patrol missions you'll find on Earth after the main story. You will then be given access to those patrol missions as in Destiny 1. In addition to the advantage that you can farm while you are there, you will receive a reputation token for each patrol completed - if that is not a tasty deal.
- Follow the story further: Sure, you're in the endgame. However, you shouldn't forget the other story mission. These quests lead directly to impressive, exotic weapons and equipment. Some of these tasks can be done by yourself - but others should only be tackled as a team. Don't dare to do this until you've already worked through most of the other items on this list. The missions can give you access to what are probably the most powerful weapons in the game: the highest score so far has been 285.
