Destiny: How to level up in the endgame
In this guide we show you how to level in the endgame in Destiny.
Endgame leveling in Destiny
After you finish story mode in the base game and reach level 20, you are in the end game of Destiny. From this point on, a different leveling system applies. However, if you have the "Taken King" expansion, return to the tried-and-tested XP collection.
- Without the expansion, your level can no longer be increased by experience points. With these you only improve your skills and armor attributes.
- From level 20 there is a so-called light level. You can now level this diligently.
- To increase your light level, you need equipment with a light level. You must now look for these to increase your light level.
- With the add-on "King of the Taken" you will also gain experience points after level 20 until you reach the maximum level of 40.
- The lighting system has not been completely removed, it is reset to XP and rare items are no longer so heavily weighted.
- The light level now depends on the average of your attack and defense attributes.
- With the new item "Spark of Light" you reach level 25 immediately and can face difficult challenges. The missions also indicate the light level appropriate for a task.
How to collect equipment with light levels
In Destiny there are several ways to collect equipment with light levels and to increase your level in the endgame.
- In the Versus multiplayer melting pot you can get equipment with light points for good game rounds with a little luck. You also get melting pot brands for every match. You can exchange these in the tower for items of equipment with points of light.
- In the strike modes, heroic modes or patrol games you also have the chance to find equipment with points of light. Vanguard brands are available for some modes. You can also exchange these in the tower for equipment with light points.
