Deutsche Bank: have your account blocked - how it works
If you have lost your card or it has been stolen, you should have your Deutsche Bank account blocked. We show you how to do this in this practical tip.
Deutsche Bank: Have your account blocked by phone
- You can have your account blocked at any time by calling 069 / 910-10000. Have your name and address, your account number (to be found in your account documents) and the bank sort code ready.
- Also make a note of the time when the card is blocked.
In the event of theft or misuse: inform the police
- If your card has been stolen, you should inform the police.
- If your account has been misused, you are even obliged to report it to the police in addition to calling the Deutsche Bank.
- Money transfers that have been carried out illegally will be reimbursed by Deutsche Bank. The prerequisite for this is that you report the incident to the police, have the card blocked and that there is no gross negligence.
