You can take out various types of health insurance with DEVK, such as supplementary insurance or travel health insurance.

• The length of time for a proper cancellation varies and depends on which contract you have concluded. You can find the notice period that applies to you in your contract documents. As a rule, the period is three months before the end of the term. You can also find information on this directly on the DEVK homepage.
• If you would like to terminate your insurance outside the regular notice period, you must state reasons why you are exercising your special cancellation right. With health insurance, for example, such a reason would be an increase in premiums.

End the insurance contract correctly

You can cancel your health insurance with DEVK in different ways. The insurer offers the option of termination via email and fax.

• The notice of termination can be informal, but must include your name, address, insurance number, date and signature. In addition, it should be mentioned in the letter that you cancel on time for the next possible date.
• For additional health and full health insurance, send an email to or a fax to +49 221 757-2216.
• If you have travel health insurance abroad, send the email to or the fax to +49 221 757-2260.
• Of course, you can also send your termination to the DEVK by post. Then send the notice of termination to DEVK Krankenversicherungs-AG, Riehler Str. 190, 50735 Cologne.
• It is easier to cancel your health insurance with DEVK via the Aboalarm service. There you will find a formulated and legally secure cancellation form.
• You only have to insert your data and the insurance number. You can also enter your signature online. You can then send the notice of termination directly to DEVK.
