You can submit a complaint to the DHL parcel service by post as well as by phone or email. Here you can find out what you can do about a missing or battered parcel and who you can send your complaint to at DHL.
DHL complaint by phone - how to reach the hotline
The fastest way to get rid of a complaint with DHL is by phone. You can reach DHL Customer Service from Monday to Friday between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. and on Saturday until 4 p.m. on 0228 - 4333112.
- Before you call DHL Support, collect the most important information about the package. This includes the shipment number, the sender and recipient address, package content information and the postal number.
- If your complaint concerns DHL Express shipping, please call the toll-free service number 01806 - 3453001 for matters relating to national shipping.
- If you have any problems with international parcel shipping, please call the service number 01806 - 3453003.
- For the DHL service number, you pay 20 cents per landline call. The call from a German mobile network costs you a maximum of 60 cents.
DHL: complaint by post, fax and mail
If you would like to submit your complaint by conventional mail, please provide the letter with the address: DHL Vertriebs GmbH, Customer Service, 22795 Hamburg. We have summarized in another article how you can correctly label and frank the letter.
- Submit your complaint by fax to service number 01803 - 002600. The minute costs 9 cents from the German landline.
- You can also use the email address for initial contact with Swiss Post's parcel service.
- In addition, the parcel service DHL has set up an FAQ page, which is all about solutions to problems with my parcel. If your package arrived damaged, for example, you can download a corresponding damage form there.
Post trouble - get rid of it on this portal
Since late 2017, you have another way to get rid of your annoyance at lost letters or damaged packages:
- The consumer advice center has set up a portal where you can report your negative experiences with post or parcel deliverers.
- The Post-Anger portal provides tips for damage claims and analyzes the weaknesses in the mail and parcel services.
