If you were not at home when the parcel deliverer wanted to deliver a parcel, you can request a second delivery from DHL. You can find out what you have to do in this practical tip.
Arrange a second delivery at DHL - how it works
If you missed the delivery of a parcel, the parcel deliverer will leave you a notification card about the unsuccessful delivery. Now you have two options to request a new delivery:
- By phone: You can request the second delivery of your package by phone. To do this, contact the DHL service hotline, which you can call on 0228 - 28609898. When you contact the hotline, you should have the notification card and your tracking number within reach.
- Online: As a second option, you have the option of arranging the second delivery online. To do this, fill out a second delivery form on the DHL website. Please note that the second delivery usually takes place two working days after placing the order at the earliest.
- Alternatively, you can of course pick up the package yourself at the specified post office. It is kept there for exactly seven working days. Please note that these days include the day on which the unsuccessful delivery took place, and Saturday is also added as a working day.
- Note: With DHL you can only arrange for second delivery for parcels, parcels will not be delivered a second time. In this case you only have to go to the appropriate post office.
