Diablo 3: Unlock rainbow level
If everyday life in Diablo 3 is too colorful for you, then the secret rainbow level is definitely not for you. In response to early fan criticism of Diablo's colors, the developers hid it in the game and filled it with many colorful surprises and challenges. We'll tell you how to find modern cow-level adaptation.
Diablo III - The rainbow-colored county of Launebach
In Diablo II it was still very simple to open the secret level. The objects for this were easy to find and the requirements were not high. Diablo III demands a lot more from you if you want to find the "non-cow level". In order to be able to enter the county of Launebach - or Whimsyshire if you play in English - you must first have completed the game on a level of difficulty of your choice. You also need a magical item, the shepherd's wand. Let Schmied Haedrig create it for you if you have the recipe and the five necessary ingredients with you. The staff must also match the level of difficulty of your choice. There are the shepherd's staff (normal), the nightmarish shepherd's staff (nightmare), the hellish shepherd's staff (hell) and the infernal shepherd's staff (inferno). You can get the first recipe from Izual in Act IV (Normal). You can then use it to create the stick, which you can easily upgrade with the other recipes. You can get this from the dealer next to the healer in the bastion (Act IV) after you have conquered Izual on the respective level of difficulty. The higher the stick, the more versatile it can be used, since, for example, the "nightmarish" stick also opens the "normal" secret level - the other way around, of course, it doesn't work.
The five ingredients for the Whimsyshire pastoral staff
If Haedrig has learned from the recipes how to create the shepherd's stick, the task is to get the ingredients.
- Black Mushroom: You find it by chance in the cathedral in the first act. Here, usually clickable mushrooms are hidden on the first level, which should give you the ingredient. Don't give up if it doesn't work right away. So far, everyone has found the mushroom.
- Leoric's shin: Visit Leoric's mansion in Act 1. In the east of the hall you will find a fireplace, in the logs of which the shin is sometimes hidden. This find is also coincidental, but the waypoint of the property makes the search very pleasant.
- Wirts Kuhglocke: The bell is easy to find, but more expensive than the other ingredients. Just speak to little dealer Krümelchen in Act Two - depending on how far you are in the act, down in the bazaar or in your warehouse - and buy the bell for 100, 000 gold.
- Rainbow water: Also in the second act you can accidentally meet Zaven in the southeast of the oasis. Save the alchemist by jumping directly to waypoint "Way to the Oasis" and activating his random event there. It can be frustrating that even saving Zaven does not guarantee that you will really get the rainbow water. Stay tuned.
- Kauderwelschstein: Near the waypoint "Korsikk Bridge" the cave of frost sometimes appears in the third act. It is best to activate the quest "Heart of Sin" and search the cave. In the lower level you sometimes come across Chiltara, who carries the stone with him.
The way to Launebach
Once Haedrig has given you the baton, it is now a matter of finding the secret access to the colorful world of ponies. Keep the staff in the inventory and jump to the first act. If you walk from new to old Tristram, you can see a crater magically lit up just before the entrance to the destroyed village in the east. Next to it is a dead animal. If you click on this battered cow, a ghost appears that opens the portal you are looking for. In addition to a lot of color, you will also find powerful creatures on the level of Act 4 of the current level of difficulty. Stay alert!
If you don't want to miss out on monster hacking on the go, there are plenty of mobile Diablo relatives with whom you can dive into fantastic adventure worlds. Take a look at the Zenonia series, for example, or try "Heroes Call". Both games have a huge fan community, in which you too could soon feel at home.
