Diablo 3: Change language - how it works
In this practical tip we will explain how to change the language in Diablo 3. To do this, you must first download separate language packs. However, this happens automatically via the game menu.
Diablo 3: Change language via extension
- Start "Diablo 3" on your computer.
- Then select the "Options" in the left menu and click on "Account".
- Here you decide in the drop-down menu for your desired language and confirm with "OK".
- The Battle.net client automatically downloads the language pack. Then start the game again using the "Play" button. The new language is then set automatically.
- From now on you can switch between languages in the "Account" settings without having to download the language files again.
Alternative: change language in Diablo 3
If you cannot change the language as described in section 1, you have to take a different route:
- Open the Battle.net client.
- Under the Diablo logo, click on the "Options" link and select the "Game Settings" there.
- Place a checkmark next to "Additional command line arguments".
- Enter the command "-locale xxXX" in the text field. Instead of xxXX, use the code of your desired language. The German language has the code "deDE", the English "enGB" and French stands for "frFR".
After you have changed the language, you can really get started with the role-playing game. Appropriately, we have another article [[//praxistipps.chip.de/diablo-3-reaper-of-souls-die-besten-tipps-und-cheats_30411Tips and tricks for the Diablo 3 expansion "Reaper of Souls" ]] compiled.
