Diablo 3 maintenance work - so you still play
If maintenance work is taking place, you will temporarily not be able to play Diablo 3. We show you possible causes and solutions to the problem.
Diablo 3 maintenance: what can you do?
- Maintenance work is usually announced a day or two in advance. The Battle.net launcher also clearly indicates when maintenance is due. Alternatively, you can also follow Diablo on Twitter.
- If you're having trouble logging in or if you're getting connection errors while playing, it may be because the servers are having trouble or being serviced. Even if there is no status page, you can check the Diablo 3 forum to see if the servers are having problems.
- Maintenance work on most Blizzard games, including Diablo 3, takes place very early in the morning, usually between 3 and 5 a.m. So it shouldn't usually affect you, except on very long nights or LAN parties.
- Due to the missing offline mode for the PC version, you can only wait. Console players are lucky, because there is a Diablo 3 offline mode for the console.
