The best Android apps for high school
Android apps for high school are like sand at the sea - but only a few really get better grades. We therefore present you with the best apps for your exam preparation.
The "Fit for Abi" app from Schroedel
The free Schroedel app "Fit for Abi" covers almost all subjects: math, German, English, biology, chemistry, physics, geography and history. Unfortunately, other foreign languages such as Spanish, French and Latin are missing. You will receive a glossary and a so-called learning check for each subject.
- The glossary is very extensive and useful for looking up individual abi-relevant terms in between. The explanations are short and to the point.
- The learning check asks you everything relevant. The app shows you randomly different terms that you should know for high school. You can answer them freely for yourself, the explanation then appears on the following page.
- The disadvantage: The app is comprehensive, but hardly structured. If you want to learn a certain topic, you cannot concentrate on it. The only division is in the individual subjects.
Formula collection from Duden as an Android app
The "Duden formula collection" is part of the standard work in many upper secondary schools and will also be used later at the university. As an app, it is always there without you having to scroll through the pages.
- The free app contains a complete formula collection with all important equations and a clear table of contents.
- Germany maps, periodic table, keyword search and application examples are only available in the premium version for 5.99 euros.
- Particularly practical: If you already have the formula collection, you can activate the premium version free of charge. To do this, the app asks for a specific point in the book that you have to read and enter.
Vocabulary trainer apps for high school graduates
English, French, Spanish or Latin: A large vocabulary is essential for a successful Abitur examination. The best way to prepare yourself with these four free apps:
- English: With "Learn English - 3400 Vocabulary" you have a particularly comprehensive vocabulary training available.
- Latin: With the "Latin Trainer" you can consolidate your basic vocabulary. The app asks you about 1, 500 words in various categories such as "human" and "social life".
- French: With the app "PONS French vocabulary" you can practice your vocabulary according to the index card principle.
- Spanish: With "Learn Spanish with busuu.com" you will learn vocabulary free of charge up to level B2 - just right for your high school diploma.
- With the Android app "Vocabulary Booklet" you can enter and learn your own vocabulary. If you don't want to type everything in, you can also save the words by voice.
Learning by doing: If you are not in the mood for dreary vocabulary queries, you can also put your foreign language skills to a practical test while chatting.
