Pebble: The smartwatch for iPhone and Android smartphones
Pebble released what Apple and Samsung would only bring to the market in late 2013 or 2014 in early 2013.
- The watch is connected to the smartphone via Bluetooth and can thus be used with various apps. Messages, emails, calls, weather information or calendar notifications can be viewed and retrieved. Facebook or Twitter can also be used. In addition, the battery of the watch should last for at least 7 days.
- Originally, the company only wanted to raise $ 100, 000 to complete the project. In the end, over $ 10 million was raised in May 2012. At the end of January 2013, after about seven months, the watch was already delivered. Almost 70, 000 people supported the campaign.
OUYA - The Android game console
- The game console OUYA runs on Android 4 and is to become a competitor product for Xbox and PlayStation. Game highlights like Final Fantasy 3 are announced for 2014. You will already receive the console.
- Only $ 950, 000 was actually wanted on this project. In the end, the developers received over $ 8.5 million from over 60, 000 supporters.

- The first funding phase started in October 2012. After one month, the developers had already raised $ 6 million. In early September 2013, an incredible $ 18 million was raised from a total of 250 thousand supporters. Most donors come from the United States and Germany.
- Other games that have been funded by crowdfunding with more than $ 3 million each include "Project Eternity", "Torment: Tides of Numenera", "Broken Age" and "Wasteland 2".
German crowdfunding project
- One of the largest crowdfunding projects in Germany was initiated by the Brainpool company in December 2011. One million euros were needed for the film for the series "Stromberg".
- After just two days, 150, 000 euros were raised. The million euros were reached in just one week. Nobody had expected the popularity of the campaign. Brainpool itself assumed a financing period of 3 months.
