How to find the right mattress for back pain

- Find your very own "best" mattress. Take your time and get detailed advice. Physique and sleeping habits play a big role in the selection.
- Disconnect from your mattress after seven years at the latest. It is then worn out so that it no longer supports the body sufficiently when sleeping. Back pain threaten in the morning.

- Mattresses are available in the degrees of hardness H1, H2, H3, H4, H5. Do not use the highest degree of hardness for back pain, but the one that best suits your body weight.
- The harder the bed pad, the more resilient it is. People up to 60 kilos use H1, between 60 and 80 kilos use H2. H3 is suitable for people weighing 80 to 100 kilos, H4 for anyone over 100 kilos. H5 is used over 130 kilograms of body weight.
- Ask if you can take the mattress home with you for a few days before you buy it. Many dealers offer that. When testing, make sure that the spine is straight.
