Digibook / Digibook Edition - what is it?
With some DVDs and also with Blue-rays, a Digibook Edition appears again and again. In this practical tip, we will explain what exactly it is.
Digibook Editions: That is behind it
Again and again there is talk of a Digibook or Mediabook Edition for Blue-rays or DVDs. They have several advantages over the standard editions:
- A digibook edition is often used as a collector's edition in the blue-ray and DVD area. Depending on the rarity, the digibooks can have a high value.
- Digibooks are usually book-like boxes. When you open them, you will first discover the normal discs.
- In addition to the DVD or the Blue-ray, a booklet with lithographs or additional information about the film is permanently integrated in the box.
To be able to use your Digibook Editions, you have to play the films somewhere. Read another practical tip on how to play the Blue-ray on the PC.
