Discord: Share Spotify with friends in the chat room
Thanks to a new feature, you can share music with friends in Discord via Spotify. This practical tip shows you how to link your Discord account with Spotify and how to use the function.
Discord offers these features for Spotify users
- If Spotify and Discord are linked, information about the song you are listening to on Spotify will be visible to other members of the Discord server in your profile.
- As a status, you can see that you are currently listening to music on Spotify.
- Premium Spotify users can also stream live music for their friends who are also premium members.
- Friends only have to right click on the user who is listening to music via Spotify and on the friends icon with the play button to open the Spotify app and start listening.
- If a song is skipped or stopped, this is taken over for all participants in the listening party.
