DisplayPort: No signal - you can do that
If your monitor no longer receives a signal via the DisplayPort cable, this can be due to the cable and other hardware as well as the software. We'll show you how to solve the problem.
No signal with DisplayPort - what to do?
- Restart your computer first and completely disconnect the monitor for one minute. In some cases this can help.
- Disconnect the DisplayPort cable from both the PC and the monitor and plug it in again. Try the cable on another PC or use a different cable if possible.
- Right-click on an empty area on the desktop and select the "Display Settings". Click the "Detect" button below and check the settings.
- You can also open some settings using the menu button on the monitor. If necessary, you can change the input source here to solve the problem.
Solution: DisplayPort no longer works
- If the problem persists, you can remove the graphics card drivers. You can use the free Display Driver Uninstaller for complete uninstallation.
- You can then download and install the latest graphics card driver. This should resolve temporary problems with the driver. If the driver is generally faulty, the next update can remedy the situation in a few days or weeks.
- If all of this does not help, you can remove and reinstall the graphics card in the last instance. Clean the contacts and blow hard into the DisplayPort connector.
