The Division: Playing as a tank - is that possible?
If you want to support your team in "The Division" as a tank, this is not officially possible over a certain class, but you can put together the necessary skills yourself. We show you how to become a tank.
The Division: How to train a tank
- In "The Division" you can expand a total of three attributes. These include "Firearms", "Stamina" and "Electronics". Stamina is particularly important as a tank.
- However, if you only level up the stamina, that will bring you little. If you want to protect your team as a tank, you should always build a balanced level between Stamina and Electronics.
- Only through electronics can your protective shield become effective and endure a lot. You can neglect the Firearms attribute. As a tank, you should provide protection and distraction rather than putting the opponents in rows yourself.

In addition, you can develop two skills and a signature skill in "The Division". There are several skills to choose from. The following combinations are relatively good for a tank, but can of course also be adapted to your requirements:
- The Ballistic Shield skill draws enemies' attention to you and absorbs some of the damage. In combination with the "Kinetic Breaker" mod, you will be healed for part of the damage.
- "First aid" is suitable as a second skill. This allows you to heal yourself and all other players in the vicinity. With the mod "Overdose" your life energy is even loaded above the maximum.
- The signature skill "Survival Link" is particularly strong, but it takes a long time to fade away. This means that you and your teammates are briefly resistant to any damage and can also move faster.
- Tip: From level 25, you can train up to four talents to further improve your character. As a tank, the talents "Critical Save", "Strike Back", "On the Move" and "Repo Reaper" will help you.
