DLAN does not work - this may be the reason
Thanks to DLAN, you can distribute your Internet over long distances. If this does not work, various causes can be responsible. Read in this practical tip what you can do about it.
DLAN not working - what to do?
- Make sure that both plugs are seated correctly and the LAN cables are connected correctly.
- For DLAN to work, you must plug the plugs directly into a socket and not into a power strip.
- There may be a problem with one of the LAN cables. To be on the safe side, you should replace all cables used in the network.
- In some cases, it helps if you reset the connectors. On the bottom you will find a small button that you hold down for a few seconds.
- There may also be a problem with the outlet used. So try a different outlet in the room.
- To use DLAN, you have to set DHCP in the router. You can often find this under "Network".
- Or there is a defect in the DLAN connectors. Check this by moving the plugs to a different location.
- If you cannot establish a connection there either, you have to replace the plugs because there is a defect.
