DLink: Change WiFi password - how it works
Like all passwords, you should also change the WiFi password of your DLink router regularly. The corresponding function can be found in the settings. We'll show you how it's done.
Change the WLAN password in the DLink router
Note: Depending on the router, the procedure may differ in part from the following instructions.
- Open the router user interface. Use the following IP address: //192.168.0.1/
- If you are asked to enter a user name or a password, leave the fields blank. If that doesn't work, use "admin" for both.
- Then select "Wireless Settings" at the top of the "Setup" menu.
- Search for the current password here. It may not be displayed and may only consist of black dots.
- Change the password and confirm the process with the "Apply settings" button.
