Convert Doc or Docx file to JPG - so it'll work
You can easily convert Doc or Docx files to JPG format with "GIMP". In this practical tip we will show you how.
Step 1: convert Word document to PDF
Since "GIMP" cannot read Word documents, you must first convert the Doc or Docx file into PDF format.

Step 2: convert PDF file to JPG format
- Download "GIMP" and start the program.
- Drag the PDF file to be edited into the main window of "GIMP". A new window appears, in which you have to click on "Import" below.
- Click on "File" in the top left and then on "Export as ...".
- Now a menu field opens. First select a location on the left where the file should be saved. Then open the "File type: ..." menu at the bottom left. Select the "JPEG image" option here.
- Now click on the "Export" button. Set the "Quality:" to 100 and click "Export".
- You will now find the JPG file in the location you have specified.
