DOOM has been available since May 13, 2016. With the release, Bethesda Softworks also announced the system requirements. We show you what your PC has to do for DOOM.
DOOM 2016: system requirements
- Processor: DOOM requires at least one Intel Core i5-2400 or AMD FX-8320 processor as CPU. An Intel Core i7-3770 or AMD FX-8350 is recommended due to the high CPU requirements of DOOM.
- RAM: For DOOM you need at least 8 GB of RAM. So the game runs smoothly.
- Graphics card: Your PC should have at least one NVIDIA GTX 670 2GB or AMD Radeon HD 7870 2GB so that DOOM runs smoothly. To use the highest graphics settings, Bethesda Softworks recommends at least an NVIDIA GTX 970 4GB or an AMD Radeon R9 290 4GB.
- Operating system: DOOM runs on all Windows versions from Windows 7. However, you need the 64-bit version.
- Storage space: You should provide at least 55 GB for DOOM. Since the loading times can also be quite long, installation on an SSD is recommended.
