DotA 2: Overview of system requirements for PC
Millions of players are fighting epic battles in the multiplayer game DotA 2. Thanks to the comparatively moderate system requirements, you can play the game on almost any computer.
System requirements for DotA 2
DotA 2 is one of the most successful games in the eSports scene. But hobby players can also spend many hours with the multiplayer game. Your PC only has to perform slightly:
- Processor: The minimum requirement for DotA 2 is an Intel Core 2 Duo E7400, a Phenom II X3 435 or a Phenom II X3 720. However, if you want to turn the graphics settings all the way up, you should at least use an Intel i5 650, Intel i7 920 or Phenom II X4 965 or Phenom X6 1090T.
- Graphics card: DotA 2 already runs with a Geforce 9800 GTX, Geforce GTS 250, Radeon HD 4870 or a Radeon HD 5770. For the best gaming experience, a Geforce GTX 570, a Radeon HD 6970 or better graphics cards are recommended.
- RAM: From 2 GB RAM you can start DotA 2 on your PC. For an always smooth gameplay, however, it should be at least 4 GB of RAM.
- Hard disk: DotA 2 requires a total of around 30 GB of free space.
- System: The multiplayer game runs on all systems from Windows Vista, whereby the developers recommend at least Windows 7 if you want to have as many FPS as possible.
