DotA 2 - Winter 2016 Battle Pass: Buy and activate
The Fall Season Compendium was followed by the DotA 2 "Winter 2016 Battle Pass". This article shows you how to buy it, activate it and then choose the right way.
Buy DotA 2: Winter 2016 Battle Pass
To buy the Winter 2016 Battle Pass, you have to go either through Steam or through the game client itself. We recommend the easy way to buy the Winter Battle Pass in-game:
- Launch DotA 2 and click the news button that introduces the Winter 2016 Battle Pass.
- Click on the blue button "€ 7.49". Now a Steam window opens, where you can complete the purchase.
- If your Steam account is covered, you have successfully purchased the Battle Pass. Otherwise, you'll need to top up your Steam balance first.
Activate DotA 2: Winter 2016 Battle Pass
You will receive a random hero set, a loading screen and another random item immediately after purchase - for example a small Outworld Devourer Courier. To get the most out of your Battle Pass in DotA games, you should familiarize yourself with it beforehand:
- Click on the Battle Pass window below your profile and press "Start" on the right. You now come to three ways: Here you choose challenges as a supporter, lone fighter or carry. Which quests you have to complete in one path, see by moving the mouse over the waymarks.
- Select the first waypoint of a way to activate it for your next game. If you decide otherwise in the hero selection, you can use the Battle Pass window on the left of the screen to choose a different route until the end of the hero selection.
- At the start of a game, you can put tokens on your team. Unlike in the previous compendium, you lose the tokens after each game, whether you win or lose. In the event of a win, you will receive Battle Points that will bring you closer to the next Battle Pass level.
- Tip: However, you can only bet on your team if you calculate a victory. The tokens expire after a while - you can see the remaining time in your Battle Pass - but you only have a certain amount of tokens per week.
