In Dropbox, you can leave folders you have shared at any time if you no longer need access to the shared data. However, this only works via the website of the cloud service.

As soon as friends or acquaintances share a folder with you, this is part of your Dropbox. If you do not want this, you can remove access to the shared folder by leaving it.
- Log in to the Dropbox website with your account information and click on "Files" on the left.
- Then click on the "Approval" link below. A list appears with all the folders that have been released for you.
- Select the desired folder here and click on the icon with the three dots on the right.
- Select the "Remove" entry in the drop-down menu.
- Finally, confirm the warning message with the "Remove my access" button.
