Dropbox: Remove files from the smartphone

This step-by-step guide shows you how to remove Dropbox files from your smartphone. The procedure applies to both the iOS and the Android version of the app.

iOS: Remove Dropbox file

Open the Dropbox app on your iPhone.

1. Under Files in your Dropbox folders, navigate to the file you want to delete.
2. Tap on the file in the list and then on the menu icon with the three dots at the top right.
3. At this point choose "Delete".
4. Confirm again with "Delete".

Android: delete Dropbox file

Open the Dropbox app on your Android smartphone.

1. In the folders that appear in your Dropbox, navigate to the file you want to delete.
2. Tap the down arrow next to the file, then tap the "Delete" icon.
