Dropbox: automatically upload and share screenshots - is that possible?
With Dropbox you can automatically upload your screenshots and share them with others. We show you how to activate the practical feature.
Activate screenshot upload in Dropbox
As of version 2.4, Dropbox can upload your screenshots automatically. So make sure you have the latest version of Dropbox installed. After that you just have to turn on the feature:
- Press the key combination [Ctrl] + [Print]. A Dropbox window will appear. Click here "Save screenshots in Dropbox".
- If the window does not appear, you have to activate the upload manually: To do this, right-click on the Dropbox icon in the task bar.
- Click the gear icon and choose Settings.
- Change there to the "Import" tab and activate the field under "Share screenshots with Dropbox" (see picture).
Upload and share new screenshots with a shortcut
After you have activated the upload, each screenshot is saved in the "Screenshots" folder of your Dropbox. With the key combination [Ctrl] + [Print] you can take a screenshot at any time. The link to the picture is automatically copied to your clipboard. You can now send this to friends by inserting it with [Ctrl] + [V] in the Facebook chat or an e-mail.
Tip: You can also share other Dropbox folders at any time.
