Dropbox upload very slow - what to do?
Cloud storage like Dropbox is very convenient. What you can do if the upload is too slow and severely limits its usefulness can be found in this article.
Dropbox upload takes too long - it could be because of that
Dropbox automatically syncs your data in the background. If the upload is stuck, you can try the following steps.
- Deactivate your virus scanner. If the upload is normal again, your antivirus program blocks the data transfer.
- If that doesn't help, it may be due to a poor WiFi connection. Try a router reboot and whether it might work better closer to the router.
- You can find out whether there are any Dropbox faults here.
- Also make sure that you haven't limited upload bandwidth in the Dropbox.
- To do this, open your Dropbox and click on "Settings".
- Then select the "Network" option.
- Then you go to "Change bandwidth settings".
- Finally click on "Download / Upload: Don't limit".
