Print job cannot be deleted: what to do?
With Windows it can happen that the printing of a document does not start, but the print job cannot be deleted. We'll show you how you can still finish and remove the print job.
Delete job from printer queue
First, you need to stop the Print Queue service.
- Open the dialog for executing programs with [Win] + [R]. You can also find "Run" from the Windows Start menu.
- Enter "services.msc" to display the services of the PC.
- Right-click the "Print Queue" service and click "Stop".
Then delete the file to be printed from the temporary printer memory.
- Open the path: C: \ WINDOWS \ system32 \ spool \ PRINTERS
- Delete the files in the folder.
Start the services.msc service in the print queue
Finally, start the Print Queue service again.
- To do this, open the Windows services as described above by sending the command "services.msc" via "Run" in the Start menu or the key combination [Win] + [R].
- After right-clicking the "Print Queue" service, click "Start".
