Retrofitting WLAN on the printer - this is how you proceed
To be able to access the printer wirelessly in the future, you need the right adapter.
- Simply connect this to the USB port of the printer and switch the printer on. Then connect to the print server on the PC.
- To do this, search for the device in the network and click on "Connect". In the description of the adapter you will find the preconfigured IP address that you call up in your browser.
- An interface then opens where you have the option of starting and configuring the print server.
- In most cases, however, you do not have to make any changes and can simply start the print server.
- To be able to print wirelessly, you only need to set up the WLAN printer in the system.
- However, please note that the adapter must always remain connected to the printer, otherwise no network can be set up.
