Enter a crossed out o: Ø - how it works

If you want to enter the crossed out O (ø and Ø) on the keyboard, this works with simple number commands. We will show you which key combination you can use to insert the special character in all common programs.

Enter a crossed out O on the keyboard: ø and Ø

• Hold down the [Alt] key at the bottom left and type 155 on the right on the number pad. Now the small ø is inserted.
• Hold down the [Alt] key and enter the number 0216 to create the large crossed out Ø.
• The small ø is used as Danish ö. The large Ø is often used as an average sign.
