DVB-T receives no signal - you can do that
If your DVB-T device no longer receives a signal and the screen simply remains blue, this can have various causes. We'll show you why.
No signal by changing to DVB-T2
- On March 29, 2017, the old DVB-T will be switched off throughout Germany. The signal will be gone punctually at midnight from Tuesday to Wednesday. Old DVB-T receivers are then completely useless.
- If you have already bought a DVB-T2 receiver, you still have to be patient on Wednesday. The new HD programs are only gradually being set up. The operator recommends starting a station search from 12 noon.
- If you don't want to switch to the paid DVB-T2, you don't have to do without television. In the following practical tip we show you all alternatives to DVB-T2.
DVB-T no longer receives a signal - this may be the reason
- The signal source on the television may have been misadjusted. Set the source switch on the remote control to "EXT" for the Scart connection. With HDMI, the setting must be adjusted accordingly to the respective HDMI input.
- If you have an active antenna, a power supply must be guaranteed. If this is done via the receiver, you have to activate it in the menu of the receiver. You have an active antenna when there is no power plug.
- Check the place where you placed your antenna. If necessary, try to receive a signal with a different orientation. The closer the space to the window is chosen, the better the signal is usually.
