DVB-T is switched off - you need to know that
With DVB-T you can watch TV if you don't have an antenna connection. DVB-T is switched off and replaced by DVB-T2. We will show you what the changeover means for you.
DVB-T is switched off - all information at a glance
- Unless you have a cable connection, you could watch TV via DVB-T and the appropriate receiver.
- However, this option ends in March 2017. From this point on, the new DVB-T2 standard will be activated.
- In order to continue watching TV via DVB-T2, you need a new receiver and a new antenna.
DVB-T2: This is new
- Thanks to the new standard, you can then watch all programs in better quality.
- In addition, more transmitters are to be switched for the new DVB-T2 standard in order to expand the variety of transmitters.
- From 2017 you have to receive private programs such as RTL, SAT1 and co. Then pay 69 euros a year via DVB-T2.
- If you have several receivers in the house, you have to pay 69 euros each to receive the programs.
