Copy DVD with Nero - how it works
Nero is still one of the best known burning programs. We'll show you step by step how to use it to copy a DVD.
Nero 2014: Copy your own DVDs
You have copied a DVD quickly thanks to the simple operation of Nero 2014. However, note the different amounts of data that a DVD can hold.
- First select the "Copy" option in the Nero menu.
- In the following window you have several options: You can only use "direct copy" if you have two drives. So the DVD is burned directly onto a new blank. If, on the other hand, you only have one drive, Nero reads the data in first and stores it temporarily on your hard disk.
- Now start the copying process with "OK". Nero first saves the data from your original DVD. Then insert a recordable blank DVD into your drive as soon as you are prompted to do so.
- Depending on the file size, the burn process can take some time. After that you have a full copy of your DVD.
By the way, you can also create an impressive DVD menu with Nero. On the Mac, you can use one of the many Nero alternatives.
