Archive emails: Archive file with Outlook pst
In Microsoft Outlook, PST files are not only used for archiving e-mail, but also for all other data such as calendar entries, contacts and tasks. They can be saved externally and thus act as a simple backup option for all of your files used in Outlook.
Archive emails through PST files in Outlook
To create a PST file and save your emails in it, do the following:
- First, create a new PST file. To do this, click on "New Items"> "Additional Items"> "Outlook Data File" in the "Start" tab.
- Leave "Outlook Data File (PST)" selected and click "OK". Then select the location and name of the file.
- Now you can see the data file in the folder bar on the left. With a right click you can create new folders within the file.
- Again, you can copy or move emails or other data into these folders. The data is now saved in the PST file.
