You can drive an e-scooter without a license. But that doesn't mean that there are no legal requirements for modern scooters. On the contrary, the law requires a lot for driving an e-scooter.

Driving an e-scooter - you have to take this into account in road traffic
You can ride an e-scooter on the bike lanes and bike paths. If there are no bicycle braces, you can avoid the road. However, this does not generally make you popular with other road users.
- The maximum speed for the electric scooters is 20 km / h.
- In pairs, you shouldn't get caught on a scooter. E-scooters are only approved for one person.
- If you are under 21 and / or have just obtained your driver's license, you should avoid drinking alcohol. The 0 per mille specification also applies to you on the e-scooter.
- The same alcohol limits apply to all other pedal roller drivers as to drivers. The penalties are of course the same and the withdrawal of your license and any points relate to your car license, of course.
