Ebay: Effective complaint about sellers - how it works
If you are angry with an Ebay seller and want to send a complaint about it to Ebay, you can do so in a number of ways. Read here what you need to consider.
Complaint About Ebay Sellers - How To Do It Right
First the wrong order came, then you should advance the return costs and the seller finally failed to answer polite questions - a clear case for a complaint on Ebay:
- Of course, you can first rate the dealer badly and leave a corresponding comment on the ebay page of the dealer.
- However, this is not yet very effective; a complaint to customer support is more effective: You can reach the Ebay employees on the free hotline 0800-666 5722 and describe your concerns. This is possible here by email.
- If you have not yet received your order or credit, the support team will process the order and contact the dealer.
- If numerous customers complain about a dealer, Ebay can withdraw the seal "seller with top rating", provided the dealer has this.
- The seller's products are also shown in the search further down. If the dealer has to pay lower eBay fees due to numerous auctions, this special status can be revoked.
- If serious complaints accumulate, the seller can be excluded from eBay. A new registration under a different email address is of course still possible.
Note: Minimum standards for Ebay sellers
When is a complaint even justified? To clarify this question, we have listed the most important standards that Ebay itself sets for all sellers. Each dealer had to accept the terms before making their first sale.
- The seller should behave in a friendly, helpful and professional manner.
- In the article description, packaging and shipping costs, processing time and return policy must be specified, which the dealer must also adhere to.
- The seller must also ensure that the item arrives at you. Please also read the article on shipment tracking.
- To get the status "Power Seller" or even "Seller with top rating", traders must have an average overall rating of at least 4.4 out of 5 stars.
- Only 0.3 percent of all complaints on Ebay about the dealer are allowed to be borne by the dealer. You can read all the details here.
