Show layers in Gimp
For a better overview, you should use layers in the image editing. In our tip, we show how you can display these in Gimp.
Show layers in Gimp
Start Gimp. You do not need to have an image in progress to display the Layers window.
- At the top, select the "Window" menu item.
- Here click on "Dockable dialogs".
- In the selection that opens, confirm the item "Layers" with the mouse.
With a shortcut to the levels
If you like to work with shortcuts, call up the levels with the key combination "Ctrl + L". So you save the clicks through the menus.
In our tip we used GIMP 2.8.4. Different versions may have different procedures.
