An echo on the phone can be quite annoying. This can be caused by incorrect settings on your device, for example. Find out here in this practical tip how you can quickly remedy this error.
Echo when phoning - what to do?
If you get unwanted sounds or an echo while talking on the phone, you should fix them with the following tips:
- In order to isolate this problem, you first have to clarify whether the echo occurs at all or only at a certain telephone number.
- If the echo only occurs for a certain phone number, contact the owner of the number and describe the situation to him. In this case, the problem is probably with the person you are talking to.
- However, if the problem occurs on all calls, the problem may be with you.
- Therefore, check whether you can regulate the voice quality or the like in the settings of your mobile phone. To do this, open the Call app and tap on the three lines there. Choose "Additional Settings". Here you can then "reduce noise" or "adjust speech quality", depending on the model.
- Your network may also be fairly weak at the moment, which is why it is of such a quality. You can find out by looking at the network quality. If only a few bars are displayed there, you are currently in a weak network.
- If the problem occurs frequently, contact your provider and describe the situation to them. It may also be able to find and fix the error.
- Alternatively, you can also test whether your smartphone is defective. Therefore, simply make calls with your SIM card via another device.
- If the echo also occurs there, your smartphone is not defective and you should contact your mobile phone provider.
