In addition to Java, the IDE Eclipse is also used for HTML programming. In this article, we'll show you step-by-step instructions on how to use Eclipse as an HTML editor.
Use Eclipse as an HTML editor - how it works
To use Eclipse as an HTML editor, you must first install the "HTML Editor (WTP)" plug-in. To do this, proceed as follows:
- Open Eclipse.
- Click on "Help-> Eclipse Marketplace ..." in the menu bar at the top.
- Enter "HTML Editor" in the search field (to the right of "Find") and press "Go". Look for "HTML Editor (WTP)" in the results.
- By clicking on "Install" the plug-in is downloaded and configured.
- Accept the software license terms with "Finish". The HTML editor is now installed.
- After restarting Eclipse, you can create and edit HTML files in the IDE.
