Eclipse: change color - how it works
If you want to change the color in Eclipse, you can do it with just a few clicks. We show you how it works and what you need for it.
Change color in Eclipse - so it'll work
- To change the color in Eclipse, you first need a small plugin. To do this, go to "Help"> "Eclipse Marketplace" in the menu and enter "Color Theme" in the search field of the marketplace window.
- A list of results for your search is displayed. Select the "Eclipse Color Theme" plugin and click "Install". Then restart Eclipse.
- Now you should open the "Preferences" item in the menu under "Window" and click "General -> Appearance" in the left menu.
- Next, use the pulldown menu next to "Theme" to switch to "Dark" and first click on "Apply".
- You should now be able to see the dark background. However, you still have to restart the editor to adapt it. To do this, first click on "Color Theme" in the left menu under "Appearance" and then look for "Vibrant Ink" in the list next to it and click on "Apply".
- You receive the message that the editor must be closed and reopened when changing the color theme. Here you confirm with "OK".
- Finally, you only have to confirm the changes made in Preferences with "OK".
