How to steam eggs
There are two ways to steam eggs. You do this either with a steamer or with an ordinary saucepan. However, you need a cooking insert for the pot.
- A cooking insert is a grid that can be placed in the pot. The grid is then a few centimeters above the bottom of the pot.
- Put enough water in the pot that the liquid covers the bottom.
- Place the cooking insert in the pot.
- Bring the water to a boil. Once the water boils, lay the eggs on the grid.
- To cook the eggs softly, you should let them steam for six minutes. Hard eggs take ten to twelve minutes.
- Dip the eggs in cold water after taking them out of the pot.
- Use an electric steam cooker according to the instructions for use.
