Listen to your own music collection via Spotify
With Spotify, you can not only listen to streamed music, but also your own music collection. This is then seamlessly inserted so that you can also find songs from your hard drive using Spotify search, for example. Find out where to find the option to import in this practical tip.
Import music folders into Spotify
- Open Spotify on your computer and go to "Edit"> "Settings ...".
- Under the fourth heading "Local files" you will find the sources from which you can import music.
- If you have already compiled your entire music collection in iTunes or with Windows Media Player, you can simply tick the box in front of the program.
- If you want to manually enter the hard drive directory of your music, you can do this via "Additional sources". Simply navigate to the corresponding folder and click "OK".
- You will then find the music you added in the left menu column under "Local files".
