This practical tip is based on Microsoft Windows 7 and iSpy 6.2.4.
- Download the iSpy tool for your operating system.
- Unzip the archive and install the program. You may need to allow access through Windows Firewall.
- Click on the eye icon in the task bar and select "Show iSpy".
- To add the camera, select "Add" at the top and then "Local Camera".
- Then search for your camera under "Video Device" and click "OK". You can ignore the following window with "Finish".
- To be able to access the camera from the Internet, click on the "Web Settings" button above. With a click on "Create a free account" you can create a new account.
- After successful registration you can log in under "Web Settings". Then switch back to the website and select "Search Media" on the left side.
- You will now receive some random images from your webcam. You can turn it off or take a screenshot.
- Please note: the program is only free for local access. If you want to access your webcam from the Internet, you must select the appropriate offer on the website.
