Android: what is one-handed mode?
- Larger smartphones or phablets can hardly be operated with one hand or not at all. To do this, the one-handed mode was integrated in Android.
- The function allows certain functions of the smartphone to be accessed again with one hand.
- For this purpose, the respective screen content is simply smaller and not shown on the entire display.
- So everything can be operated on the display even if, for example, you carry a bag with one hand, but still want to take actions on your smartphone.

- One-handed mode with a gesture: If you swipe diagonally upwards from one of the lower edges, the view becomes smaller. You can now do everything on your smartphone with one hand.
- Home button: Press the home button three times in succession to zoom out.
- By executing the respective command again, you switch back to normal mode.
