Open shopping cart without a chip - how it works
If you don't have a chip and a suitable coin at hand, you can open the shopping cart without a chip. We show you in this home tip what options are available.
Open shopping cart without a chip: the classic
- You will find a chain with a tongue on each shopping cart. The individual shopping carts are attached to each other.
- In the simplest case, you can open the shopping cart with your own tongue. Simply insert them into the coin slot.
- However, such shopping carts are rarely found in Germany. You're more lucky abroad.
Open the shopping cart with a key - how it works
- Alternatively, you can grab your keychain. Remove a round-headed key from the keychain and insert it into the shopping cart.
- Once the car has come loose, you can remove the key. Alternatively, you can simply insert the long side of the key. In this case, however, you have to try something around until the car comes loose.
Open shopping cart with coin flap without chip
- Somewhat older shopping trolleys in particular often have an entire coin compartment instead of a simple coin slot. Here the chip is inserted and the compartment for unlocking is closed.
- In this case, you only get on with a wire or a hairpin. Put it in the upper corner. You also have to try something out here. The searched point is marked on the right of the picture.
