Make invitation cards for communion yourself - how it works
When communion is coming, you can easily make the invitation cards yourself. We'll show you how to do it with Microsoft Word and give you design tips.
How to design your own communion invitation card
We will use Word 2007 to show you how to create invitation cards for communion. However, you can also use other versions of Word for this. It works similarly there.
- Start Word.
- Click on the top left to open the options and select "New".
- Enter the keyword "invitation" in the search field and look for a suitable template. Alternatively, you can also browse the categories on the left or create your own template.
- Tip: Feel free to use a template that is intended for weddings or other festivities, for example. You can then refine them and tailor them to communion.
Tips and tricks for a homemade communion invitation
- To ensure that the card also fits the communion, you should select "Insert" in the menu above and then click on "Clip Art". Enter "Communion" in the search. You will now find suitable images that you can position on the map.
- It is particularly practical if you write the program of the communion on the invitation. To do this, you should select a program template. There you can show the guests with the invitation how the process works and where it is celebrated afterwards.
- Don't forget to change the name, the occasion, the date and the correct address.
Print the invitations correctly
When the invitation card for communion is ready, you can print it out. Thick paper is best suited for this, since the card then appears to be significantly higher quality.
- For double-sided cards, you should initially only print the first page.
- Then put the sheet back in the printer so that it is printed from the back. Release the print for page 2.
- You can then fold the card accordingly and place it in the envelope.
