Make invitation cards for retirement yourself - how it works
If you are planning a celebration for your upcoming retirement, you can also make the invitation cards yourself. Instructions for Microsoft Word and some tips for designing and printing the cards can be found in this practical tip.
Word: Create invitation cards for retirement
- Start Word as usual and then click on "File" at the top left and select "New".
- Enter the term "invitation" in the search field and confirm with [Enter].
- Then look for the appropriate invitation card.
- Tip: You can achieve further results with various search terms, such as "party", "celebration" or "work".
Design of retirement invitation cards
- Once you have found the right map, you can edit it directly in Word with a double click.
- Start by editing the date, time, and location for the celebration on the map.
- If there is an invitation text on the card, adapt it to your requirements.
- In the Word menu "Insert" you will find further graphics and clip arts with which you can further design the card.
Print retirement invitation cards
- When the map is finished, you can have it printed directly in Word.
- To do this, click "File"> "Print". After successful printing, you have to cut or fold the card until everything fits.
- Note: For double-sided cards, make sure that you load the paper correctly in the printer the second time; unless you have a duplex printer.
