Export individual contacts to Thunderbird - so it'll work
If you don't want to save the entire address book from Thunderbird, you can also export individual contacts. We'll show you how it's done.
Thunderbird: Export only individual contacts
Unfortunately, such a function is not directly available in Thunderbird. With a small add-on, you can expand Thunderbird with the function.
- First, download the MoreFunctionsForAddressBook addon.
- Now install the Thunderbird addon and restart the program.
- Click the "Address Book" button at the top of the menu bar and select the desired contact.
- Right-click on the contact and move the mouse over the "Export" option.
- Here you have three options to export the contact. The "CSV file" is the most common format.
- Select a storage location and click the "Save" button. The contact is now exported.
We will show you how to activate the spam filter in Thunderbird in the next practical tip.
