Making ice cream with and without an ice machine - how it works
You can easily make delicious ice cream yourself. The advantage is that you know exactly what's in it. We present a few recipes for DIY ice cream with and without an ice machine.
Making ice cream with the ice cream maker - it's that easy
If you have an ice cream maker at home, you can easily make your own ice cream.
- A very simple recipe for ice cream from the ice cream maker is vanilla ice cream. For a liter of ice, whip 250 ml of cream until stiff.
- Mix 3 eggs, 100 g sugar, 180 ml milk, a packet of vanilla sugar and the pulp of a vanilla pod to an even mass.
- Carefully fold in the whipped cream and pour the mixture into the ice cream maker for a good half an hour. The exact time depends on the model you are using. Then the vanilla ice cream is ready.
- Delicious strawberry ice cream is just as easy to machine. To do this, first whip the cream until stiff, but this time 300 g.
- Next, mix three egg yolks with 300 ml of milk, two packets of vanilla sugar and 120 g of sugar. Fold in the whipped cream.
- Wash and cut 600 g of strawberries into small pieces and also mix into the ice cream mass.
- The mass must also be put back into the ice cream machine for a good half an hour so that it becomes delicious strawberry ice cream.
DIY - that's how ice cream works without an ice cream maker
If you don't have an ice cream maker, you don't have to do without homemade ice cream.
- For a homemade strawberry ice cream, puree 300 g of washed strawberries in a blender and then add 150 g of sugar, 250 ml of milk and two tablespoons of lemon juice.
- Whip 100 ml of cream until stiff and fold it under the strawberry mixture. Put the finished ice cream in a large container and place it in the freezer of your freezer.
- It takes several hours for the ice to freeze. During this time, stir the ice vigorously every half hour so that no ice crystals form.
- It's just as easy to make chocolate ice cream. To do this, first melt 150 g of whole milk chocolate in 200 ml of milk.
- While the chocolate milk cools, whip 400 g of cream with two teaspoons of powdered sugar until stiff. Then carefully pour the cream under the cooled chocolate milk.
- Then pour the mass back into a large container and place in the freezer. Again, you have to stir the ice thoroughly every half hour until it is completely frozen.
