Elex: These are the 4 factions
Elex is released and has four different factions. In this article, we explain which they are. Because like in Gothic, you can belong to different camps, each with different advantages and disadvantages.
First faction in Elex: The Berseker
Nice old-fashioned and classic: this is how we would describe the berserkers. The nature-loving faction does everything it can to make the world habitable again and plants world hearts for it. These restore the vegetation and thus ensure fertile soil.
- With berserkers you have to do without technology and research. Everything that has to do with it is thrown into a great abyss.
- So when you use your jet pack or inventory, you often get some weird looks and annotations.
- You can learn a lot from the berserkers as long as you abide by their laws. Magic, melee but also ranged combat are on the program here.
- The laws of berserkers are actually very easy to remember: it is forbidden to spread false rumors, use technology, destroy seedlings and waste mana. If you also meet free people, it is your duty as a berserk to protect them.
The clerics in Elex
The clerics adore Calaan and her technique. So if you want energy and plasma weapons and science as far as the eye can see the clerics.
- In addition to the weapons mentioned above, the clerics also have PSI powers.
- With these you can, for example, use protective shields or other "magic".
- You will find the clerics either in Abessa, the domed city in the northwest of the map, or in Ignadon. The latter place is the hoard of the parliamentary group, so you will also find the most important contacts there.
- A big advantage of the clerics is of course the suggestion. This allows you to make other people's decisions for these people and escape many situations with impunity. So pretty handy.
- The clerics are very radical in their views: Those who are impure and who do not believe 100% in their god even after the suggestion are brought to execution.
Outlaws as a faction in the game
If you have a great penchant for freedom, then the Outlaws may be just the thing for you.
- This faction lives in seclusion in the Tavar desert, with adequate wasteland around it. So nobody should come up with the idea of approaching them.
- The Duke is in charge of the Outlaws. He decides everything important and imagines something powerful.
- In general, however, if you make an effort, you will get just as much back. And if not, you have to get it in another way.
Albs and separatists in Elex
The fourth faction you cannot join is the Albs. The separatists are a split off from this faction.
- The Albs were once clerics, but Elex consumption caused them to change their personality. They became emotionless and supernaturally strong, only for their own benefit.
- For example, it is common for the Albs to put people in large converters. There the Elex is withdrawn, which the Albs can then consume again.
- Jax, our playable person, was once an alb. However, he was betrayed by his own faction and ends up with the other factions.
- The separatists are a division of the Albs. For the most part, they swore off Elex consumption and severely restricted it. In addition, they are fleeing their own species and seeking protection from the other factions.
