Elite Dangerous: HUD change color - how it works
Do you want to personalize your HUD colors in the game Elite Dangerous? In this article, we will show you how you can do this.
Step by Step: Change HUD Color in Elite Dangerous
- To change your HUD color, you'll need to manually edit your Elite Dangerous graphics settings. You can usually find this in the path "C: \ Users \ Name \ AppData \ Local \ Frontier Developments \ Elite Dangerous \ Options \ Graphics".
- Open the "GraphicsConfigurationOverride.xml" file there.
- In this file you should find the entry "Standard 1, 0, 0 0, 1, 0 0, 0, 1". These fields are usually one below the other.
- Since you are going to change your game files from now on, make a backup copy before editing.
- Now change the numbers from "1, 0, 0 0, 1, 0 0, 0, 1" between 1 and 0. The higher the value, the clearer the color. At "1, 0, 0" 1 stands for strong red and green and blue are not displayed. So instead of orange you mix a violet, white or turquoise.
- Once you're done, save your changes and start the game.
